My last newborn session until March: On location: Edison Park, IL

There is great risk when you are hiring a photographer who is about to pop herself. So, I have a lot of gratitude for this couple who waited literally months hoping all along that I could do their newborn pictures.  I went into labor that night after doing this session...it was a relief to feel like I finished well!

Winter Photo Session- On location: Oak Park, IL

I love winter shoots outside.  This sister and brother teamed up for some fun photos and it was a beautiful day compared to the rest of the week, so we really weren't freezing.

My little girl is here...Olivia Noah

O.k. here is to maternity leave officially. Olivia came on New Year's Eve morning.  We are resting right now and finishing up some edits from December.  Please be patient. I promise I won't do any more editing on Olivia's pictures till you have yours!

Newborn Session: On location: La Grange Park, IL

Due to the holidays I got a bit behind in terms of posting.  Here is a recent newborn session.  I have one more this week and then I'm off for a self-maternity leave.  I'm off for January/February but will book session for the month of March and beyond. This was my only girl for the month of December, it must be the month for little boys to be born.  Anyway, I think you will see she was beautiful.  Congrats Arlinghaus family!

Merry Christmas!

Hope you all are enjoying the holidays.  I love having snow this time of year even if its cold.  There is just something about snow and celebrating at least up here in the north.  My friends in the south may have other ideas about what Christmas is about in warmer clients.  For me growing up this time of year was about getting out of school, traveling to see family, making snow men and snow forts, ice skating on a frozen lake. Most of all hoping that on Christmas Eve it would snow on the way home from a Candlelight service and that we would be able to see a white Christmas the next morning as we woke up with anticipation.  So, hopefully you can take some time this weekend or next week thinking about what this season means for you and your loved ones.  Hope you get some great pictures around the tree, outside, around a meal.  Blessings.

new blanket...so much fun! On location: Oak Park, IL

Here are some shots from this past weekend.  It was pretty dark by the time we got started, so not the most optimal lighting.  We took some family pictures but we had too much fun getting little miss some time of her own in front of the camera.
